Our History

Our story began in November of 1994 with eight people meeting  to discuss the need for a new church in Penhook. From the beginning, the mission of the church has been to share in the ministry of Jesus Christ, to offer God’s grace to all people, and to create a Christian community where all those seeking God’s blessings are welcome. A house and 35 acres near Penhook was then donated, with renovation done by members.  The first service in the new church house was held on Christmas Eve of 1995. Our "Little House with the Big Heart" served as our worship center until October 15, 2000, when we moved into our present sanctuary. Christ Community Church has an all-denominational emphasis, representing multiple denominations, yet focusing on unity abiding in one spirit. As we gather together, be a part of our story; all are welcome and all are invited.
